How the comparison works
An honest comparison tool: stores send us their prices, we put them side by side and send you where it is cheapest.
Where the prices come from
Every partner store gives us a product file (feed) that we read automatically every few hours. From it we take the title, price, availability, image and the product page link, plus shipping costs and delivery time when the store provides them. Nobody types prices by hand and we never “guess” anything.
How we match products
The same product across different stores is recognised first by its EAN/GTIN code, then by brand and manufacturer part number. So on a product page you see all of its offers, sorted by the lowest total price including shipping.
How we rank
The default ranking is always the total cost. You can switch to product price, store or delivery time. If we ever show a promoted placement, it will carry a clear “Ad” label.
How we make money
FDN Compare is a Comparison Shopping Service. Stores can advertise on Google Shopping through our CSS and pay a subscription or a management fee. The price comparison is open to everyone, with no sign-up, and a store’s position in the results does not depend on what it pays.
